Couperose Skin

Characteristics

  • Temporary or chronic redness
  • Dilated small winding blood vessels appearing on the cheeks, chin and around the nose

Causes

  • Poor elasticity in the capillary walls that do not contract to their normal size or shape after stimulation
  • Aggravated by extreme temperature changes
  • Use of excessively hot or cold water
  • Saunas and exercise
  • Digestive disorders
  • Hot, spicy foods

Suggested Treatment

  • Follow routine as per skin type (normal, dry, or oily), being careful with product choice.
  • Avoid over stimulating the skin.
  • Earth Mineral Mask may initially cause redness if left on for too long or if not kept moist.
